The State of New Jersey does NOT honor a Concealed Carry Permit/License from any other state, however, many states do recognize the rare New Jersey permit.
As of late 2025, approximately 25 states recognize a New Jersey concealed carry permit, though laws are subject to change and some states have restrictions. These states include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming, with Michigan being a notable exception that may require additional conditions.
